Coleraine Primary School

Coleraine is a small rural community in the rolling hills of Western Victoria, situated about half way between Hamilton and Casterton. Coleraine Primary School has spacious student learning areas and a high ratio of computers to students. All students in Grade 3-6 having a laptop and the P-2 classroom have a PC for every two students. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards. The staff are experienced, caring and capable, many of whom have a long association with the school.
Our school is situated on expansive school grounds with two ovals, an onsite sports stadium and easy access to the community swimming pool. The school runs an Active After School Program and encourages healthy eating and lifestyle choices. The school and the community are interdependent in many ways, and parents are found working in classrooms, conducting special programs, coaching, supporting and assisting sport teams, fundraising and on committees.
The staff are committed to their own learning to enhance the learning of their students and they work closely with the other small schools in the network, and with the Casterton Cluster of schools, for the provision of enhanced opportunities.
We aim to develop individuals who can think and communicate, gain and apply knowledge, and work and contribute to their community to their full potential.
