Going Local - Research Bats

Aim:

To research and find what types of bats are in Australia.

Method:

  1. Choose one bat species and research to find the following:
  2. Population distribution – what country they’re from and where in that country
  3. Population numbers (if possible)
  4. Scientific name
  5. Roost type
  6. What they eat
  7. Habitat – what type of area they live in
  8. Breeding frequency – how often they breed (seasonal or multiple times per year)
  9. Size
  10. Longevity – how long they live for
  11. Conservation Status - endangered, threatened etc
  12. Any other interesting information

Output:

Create a poster with the information you have found. You must include photos/pictures on your poster.

Marking

Inclusion of all parts of the assignment (method) – 20 marks
Presentation – 10 marks
Good use of class time – 15 marks
Total – 45 marks
