Lesson 7 - Research a Bat!

Lesson 7 – Research a Bat!

Aim: To individually research a bat of your choice, from the Malaysian jungle.

This activity will give the students an opportunity to pursue their own interests, from the pictures of bats they have currently seen of Malaysian bats. The project may take more then the given time. A written report with sub-headings is fine, but I love looking at posters! They just display what you've learnt in a colourful and individual way.

A rubric will be used for assessment of this project. It will provide the questions which should aim to be answered by students, but it will also give the ‘weighting’ for each question in the form of points.

The bats which can be chosen are the following, due to their presence in Malaysian environments. If you need to remember what each bat family resembles ‘generally’, refer back to Lesson 6 – Nocturnal Animals.
