Task 1: Read the information on pages 232-233 of your textbooks.

  1. List the reasons given in your textbooks for the gradual disappearance of Australia’s rainforests.
  2. Describe the location of Australia’s remaining rainforests. What factors have contributed to their survival here?
  3. What is unusual about Queensland’s rainforests?

Task 2:Use the link below to complete the following tasks:

Print out a map of Australia (below), locate and label Australia’s World Heritage sites - stick this in your book when you have finished (make sure your map has BOLTSS).
