Meet the Scientist

Ecologist: Collin Storlie

Country of Birth: United States of America (Washington State)

Degree: Zoology

Post Graduate: Research Methodology

Doctorate: Rainforest skinks – particularly the prickly-forest skink – Gnypetoscinicus Queenslandiae

By using DNA analysis to compare the genetic variation between skinks of the same species, it can be determined which skinks are more likely to survive the predicted 4 degrees Celsius increase in temperature due to climate change.

To quote Collin “being a rainforest ecologist is heaps better than an office job”!

The Prickly-Forest Skink - Gnypetoscinicus Queenslandiae
