Year 8 - Lesson 4 - Animal Assignment
Lesson 4
The Daintree is home to some of the most wonderful animals and plants that can be found anywhere on the planet. Some of these organisms belong only in this location, some rely on the rainforest to provide what they need and other are so linked to the forest that should it disappear or change they would disappear forever.
You will need to research and create an assignment based around one of the following animals:
OR …. If you really want to do some other animal, you can – as long as they are native to the Daintree.

As a minimum for this assignment; you should describe facts about where your chosen animals lives, how they survive, their diet and breeding habits and whether whether they are threatened in some way. In addition, find out if they are protected and what is being done to ensure they continue to survive. Is there some science that suggests they need help?
Try and get a good image(s) of the animal and create your own map showing where they can be found.
