Mt Eliza Secondary College

Established in 1975, Mount Eliza Secondary College is a large single campus secondary college situated on the Mornington Peninsula some 50 kilometres from the centre of Melbourne. The College has set itself the mission of seeking to protect its community members and nurture a culture where individuals learning and thinking are valued as a lifelong process of growth through which they become active, responsible and caring members of a changing global society. It has an emphasis on developing its students as creative, caring, critical and competent thinkers. This mission is expressed in its Directions statement and other documents incorporated into the Schools Strategic Plan.

The College is co-educational, caters for 1000 to 1200 students and enjoys a strong tradition of high retention rates and academic excellence. The division of the College into three sub-schools, managed by separate coordination teams of teachers and support staff, and supported by a well-being team and a student pathways team, allows the close monitoring of each student's progress. This structure, combined with a clearly defined and implemented student management policy, including a mentoring program that includes all teaching staff and students, ensures a caring and nurturing approach to all students, enabling them to achieve individual excellence.

The committed and experienced teaching and administrative staff offers high quality teaching in all learning areas and support within and beyond the classroom.

Mount Eliza College is well known for developing well balanced and effective members of the Community and excels in areas such as Creative Arts, Music and running an effective International Student Program.

Mount Eliza Secondary College is an outstanding school highly valued by its community.
